The Hunt: First Edition event is an event map created for Roblox's The Hunt: First Edition event. This map awarded the Time badge on completion. Gryffyn is the primary bot for the first phase of the chapter, while two creatures are the second phase’s bots. Blatt is the second phase’s primary bot and Scry is the phase’s secondary bot. Blatt was released as a skin on March 18th, 2024, and Scry was released as a Build Mode NPC on April 21st, 2024. You unlocked Blatt and Scry after escaping the map, along with claiming the Hunt badge for this game, if you completed it before March 29th, 2024. On June 6th, 2024, it returned to the Piggy game. On completion, it awards the Blatt skin and the Scry Build Mode NPC, alongside the Time (Post-Hunt) badge.

Appearance[]

The first part is a medieval stone-based area with a castle structure and wooden booths outside. The castle consists of three accessible rooms, two floors, two staircases and two entrances.

The second part of the map is a four-part urban setting over a pitch black void. Four structures are connected by metal beams and planks: A basic concrete structure, a receptionist building, an office building and an apartment building. The apartment building has an additional layer on top with a safe room accessed from scaling two purplish blue metal beams.

Gameplay[]

This map has two phases: A medieval phase and an urban phase.

First Phase[]

The bot of this section, Gryffyn, is a typical patrol bot, though it does not place traps and is around the speed of Grandmother in City. This phase only has two used items: The Yellow Key and the Blue Key. The Yellow Key is used on a downstairs room of the castle while the Blue Key is used on the upstairs room of the castle. One of the castle staircases is missing its steps, which is fixed by pulling a lever. To access this lever, the book puzzle in the unlocked castle room must be completed. There are three books: A standing book, a slanted book and a flat book. Clicking these in the correct order will unlock the lever area. The order is found on a note labeled "123" with | for standing book, / for slanted book and _ for flat book to indicate the correct order (Ex, ||/ means standing, standing, slanted). To escape this section, the time machine's coordinates need to be adjusted and its valves need to be fixed. The coordinates are found on notes with strings of numbers where one number is larger than the others. This large number corresponds to the coordinate it it's labeled as (either X, Y or Z, left to right). The valves are shown in notes where a number is circled and a point faces either up, left, down or right. The number indicates which valve from the left should be adjusted and the direction indicates where its arrow should face. Doing both causes a transition to the second phase for all players.

Second Phase[]

This phase's main gimmick is its two bots: Blatt and Scry. Blatt is able to kill players but is completely blind and follows a set path. Scry cannot kill players but will alert Blatt of any players in its line of sight. Blatt will pursue them, only losing pursuit once the player dies or enough distance is covered. They both follow patrol points and don't place traps. Three keys are used here: The Red Key, the Green Key and the Elevator Key. The Red Key is used on a room in the apartment building, the Green Key is used on the safe room and the Elevator Key is used on three elevators. The method of escaping is by opening the safe in the Green Key room, which requires a code. The code is a similar shape to the Circle Puzzle in Temple, though the rings are moved with separate buttons instead of clicking the rings themselves. Each ring needs to have the correct number align to the right. The numbers are found by unlocking elevators, which causes the light above them to change from an X to a two digit number. The tens place indicates which ring (from the inside) the number goes to and the ones place indicates what number goes in that field. All three elevators must be unlocked in order for the map to be completable.

• This is the first major Roblox event Piggy participated in, excluding crossovers with other games or companies.
• This is the first chapter where Optikk is a contributor.
• This chapter marks the first physical appearance of Finley, who was previously mentioned in Mansion and in the journal entry for Season 4.
• The intro cutscene for this chapter uses the old Book 1 style for dialogue, this is likely because the cutscene itself is in Book 1 rather than the event subplace.
• This is the first chapter where the bot is a seasonal skin, in this case Gryffyn (only for phase 1).
• This chapter is one of the few chapters to contain a unique Piggy has woken up! message, that being The Guardian has arrived. (referring to Gryffyn).
• There's a Mr. Stitchy plush and drawings in the bedroom of the castle. The plush is inside a cabinet, meanwhile the drawings are on a bed, a table and the wall.
  • There is audio that plays when you get close to the drawing on the bed.
• After a few days of the event being up, MiniToon eventually nerfed the map considerably due to the criticism in the map's supposed difficulty.
• On March 30th, 2024, the map and event have been removed one hour before the main event's closure.
• During its first release, MiniToon stated that the map would return after The Hunt^[1], which eventually happened on June 6th. Additionally, he stated that the bots would be reverted back to their pre-nerfed speed, which only ended up happening to Blatt and not Gryffyn.
• There is a strange sound that plays at the bottom of one of the pillars right next to the time machine in phase 2.
• There is also an occasional siren sound that can be heard in the second phase.
• As of June 6th 2024, the map has been re-added into the game in private servers, although it did not work and simply showed a white screen, the skip button also was unresponsive.
  • This has now been fixed 10 hours later after its release.
• A new Time badge has been added for completing the Hunt after its ending.
• The map uses soundtracks from Book 2 chapters.
• The player ragdolls instead of splitting into pieces upon death in this map.
