Australian television's night of nights has come and gone once again, with some of the country's biggest names able to kick off their heels and dance the night away at the real event: the afterparty.

After showing off their Sunday best on the red carpet outside Sydney's The Star, celebrities including Andy Lee, Hamish Blake, Hall of Fame inductee Rebecca Gibney and 15-year-old breakout actor Felix Cameron all piled in for a four-and-a-half-hour-long soirée hosted again by Sam Pang.

It was full of emotional speeches, a lot of cameos – by multiple Olympians as well as homegrown Hollywood heroes and Prime Minister Anthony Albanese – and, of course, a myriad of belly laughs.

Here are all the best moments from the 64th TV Week Logie Awards as they happened.

Mission success for Felix Cameron

Fifteen-year-old Felix Cameron won the Silver Logie for Best Lead Actor in a Drama for his work on Boy Swallows Universe, just after winning the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

Cameron joked on-stage: "The last award I won before tonight was Student of the Week in Grade 5, so this is a big deal."

'What the hell's going on?': Confusion as 'Deadpool' lifts mask

At first, it appeared as though Deadpool and Wolverine were presenting the Silver Logie for Best Lead Actor in a Drama.

But when Deadpool lifted his mask, it was revealed to be Andy Lee... without Hugh Jackman.

"What?! What the hell's going on. You're not Hugh Jackman, I was told I was doing this with Hugh Jackman," Lee told 'Wolverine' – aka Australian actor and comedian Stephen Curry.

"Well, cry yourself a river, mate, they told me I was doing it with Hamish [Blake], so, whatever," Curry replied to laughter.

Two more Olympians appear out of the blue

"Just two weeks ago I was standing on the top of the dais, winning the gold medal, doing it again and then watching my sister do it and being part of the most success Australian Olympic Team, and I'm so proud to be Aussie and so happy to be home," gold medallist Jess Fox said on-stage while presenting Best Sports Coverage.

Fox wasn't the only legendary Aussie Olympian on-stage to present the award – Matildas goalie Lydia Williams, who retired after Paris 2024, also came up on stage with sports presenter Mel McLaughlin to accept the Logie for the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023™ coverage.

Earlier, viral breaking sensation Raygun made a surprise cameo too.

Emotional moment Rebecca Gibney is finally inducted into the Hall of Fame, with the help of Hugh Jackman

Australian television royalty Rebecca Gibney has become the fourth woman to be inducted into the Logie Hall of Fame in the award's 40-year history.

Taking the stage to cheers and applause, the 60-year-old New Zealand-born Halifax f.p. and The Flying Doctors alum was clearly emotional as she thanked her husband, son, mother, brothers, co-stars and friends through tears, as well as the giants she stands on the shoulders of.

"If someone had told 16-year-old me who suffered crippling anxiety and severe body dysmorphia that one day I would be standing on the stage with this award, she wouldn't have believed it," Gibney, who first shared a long hug with her son Zachary Bell before stepping up to the microphone, said.

Nine's Travel Guides takes out Best Lifestyle Program

They have the best gig on television – and now another Best Lifestyle Program Logie Award to add to their display.

Nine's Travel Guides has won the gong for the second year in a row, with the whole cast getting up on stage to accept it.

"Really proud to accept this award," executive producer Hugh Brodie said on behalf of the "incredibly hardworking group of people that are lucky enough to work on Travel Guides".

Teen actor breaks down as he thanks one specific person – and it's not a parent

Boy Swallows Universe star Felix Cameron became one of the youngest Logie winners ever when he took out the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent, and his speech was as emotional as his milestone.

Taking the stage to accept his statuette, the 15-year-old started reading a prepared speech from palm cards, laughing as he noted: "I would have probably used my phone but it's broken."

"Look, I only have 30 seconds so I'll just try and thank as many people as possible. I quickly thank TV Week and everyone who voted for me. Couldn't have done this without you guys, so thank you for that," Cameron said.

"Everyone at Netflix, this was such a special project because of all you guys, I'd like to thank Brouhaha team with Andrew and trio who are sitting – Troy who are sitting at that table – you guys are awesome. I'd like to thank Trent Dalton who wrote this amazing, amazing book," he continued.

"I need to thank Barrett who's sitting right there with the camera and Jocelyn as well for especially directing my blocks. And my amazing agents at Kubler and my friends, my family, my brother and my sister, and my Mum and Dad," he said to cheers and applause.

Then came the tears.

"And I'd love to thank my Nadia Townsend, my drama teacher. I couldn't have done it without you," Cameron said as he broke down.

"She had a saying that we were climbing a mountain. She never ever clarified whether it was Everest or the Dandenongs but I think we got there. So, thank you, everyone!"

Cameron's milestone wins comes almost 40 years after Kylie Minogue made history in 1988, becoming the youngest ever Gold Logie winner at the age of 19. So, he has three years left to break her record!

Nine Entertainment Co (the publisher of this website) owns and operates the streaming service Stan.

Another high-profiler makes surprising cameo

Australia's viral Olympian Rachael Gunn – known in the breaking community as Raygun – made a surprise appearance during the ceremony.

While Sam Pang gave a shoutout to the international stars in attendance, including Saturday Night Live! alum Will Forte, he also paid homage to Australia's world-class talent.

Tears, surprise cameos and belly laughs galore: How the Logies unfolded (15)

"Welcome to Australia, too, just wanted to say that. If you're not already aware apart from our world-leading television industry, we're world leaders in mining, agriculture and of course breakdancing," Pang said.

"Speaking of breakdancing, time now for a world exclusive, a message from the woman who represented Australia at [Paris 2024] and has become a global sensation, Raygun."

Raygun herself then appeared on-screen in a pre-recorded message, saying: "Hello, Australia, Raygun here. I just want to say congrats to all the Logie nominees and best of luck tonight. Please feel free to pull out my signature moves in celebration. Have fun and look after each other."

A very Met Gala-esque selfie

Anna Wintour famously doesn't allow selfies inside the Met Gala, so high-profilers sneak away to the bathroom to take photos in the mirror.

While the Logies doesn't have that rule, that didn't mean Nine's Tara Brown, Sarah Abo and Allison Langdon couldn't put their own twist on it.

Tears, surprise cameos and belly laughs galore: How the Logies unfolded (16)

"Bathroom selfie," Abo wrote on her Instagram Stories alongside a photo with Brown and Langdon on either side of her.

"What a sandwich!!"

Andy Lee caught in the act inside ceremony

The stars are seated and ready for the show to begin – and although television's night of nights is happening at Sydney's The Star, elsewhere in Australia, there are other big events on that they don't want to miss.

Namely, the footy.

Sam Pang's emotional tribute to Denise Scott

Sam Pang may be a comedian, but his opening monologue also included a touching moment.

"I'd also like to pay tribute to the first lady of comedy in this country, the star of Mother And Son, the amazing Denise Scott. She's here tonight," Pang said as the cameras panned to an emotional Scott.

"Scotty, you were so funny on that show, you know I love you and I know that the last 12 months have been particularly tough... Having to work with Matt Okine," he said with a laugh.

Scott, who revealed in August 2023 she had been diagnosed with breast cancer six months' prior, is nominated for Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role in the show, which she filmed while undergoing cancer treatment.

A wild Anthony Albanese appears

It wasn't just television stars who turned heads during Sam Pang's opening monologue. Rather, it was a politician.

The politician, in fact, with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese making a cameo in a pre-recorded message wishing Pang well.

Tears, surprise cameos and belly laughs galore: How the Logies unfolded (19)

"G'day, Sam, Albo here. So they're giving you another crack at hosting the Logies. I'm sure it will be better...well, I mean easier than last year because... Well, you did fine last year," Albanese said in an apparent crack at the mixed reviews of Peng's performance in 2023.

"So, I'm sure it'll be great. Good luck, mate."

Stephen Fry also made an appearance.

Zoë Foster Blake's public message to husband Hamish Blake

Even two-time Gold Logie winners need a little bit of luck sometimes, at least according to Hamish Blake's wife Zoë Foster Blake.

"LUCKY WITCH ✨ Good luck to my tuxedo-d hunk," Foster Blake wrote to her 789,000 Instagram followers. "(Maybe I'll cast a spell so you win. Maybe.)"

LEGO Masters host Blake is up for the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter, while his long-time collaborater Andy Lee is up for the coveted Gold Logie.

Foster Blake's dress includes embellishments including an evil eye charm, which is believed to ward off evil intentions.

Andy Lee may be nominated for a Gold Logie, but Rebecca Harding is the star of the red carpet

The Hundred host Andy Lee may be one of the biggest stars of the night thanks to his Gold Logie nomination, but the ceremony has yet to begin.

Until then, it's his model fiancée Rebecca Harding's show, and Lee very much knows it.

Tears, surprise cameos and belly laughs galore: How the Logies unfolded (23)

When the duo made their long-awaited red carpet appearance – after Harding firmly shut down Lee's cheeky prank about his outfit – the couple took their time to pose for the cameras, but only after Lee bent down to adjust Harding's train.

While on the floor, a sunglasses-wearing Lee posed with a thumbs up, while Harding beamed and adjusted her pink gown's strap.

Lee then stood aside and let Harding shine for her solo shots.

Logies legend hits red carpet with very special guest

Blue Heelers star Lisa McCune had a very special plus one for the night – her 19-year-old daughter Remy Elise Disney.

McCune currently holds the record as the woman who has won the most Gold Logies – four – in history.

She shares Disney with her ex-husband Tim Disney. The former couple married in 2000 after meeting on the set of Blue Heelers (he was a film technician on the crew), and welcomed three children over the course of their marriage.

In 2020, McCune confirmed she and Tim Disney had split.

Do you think they planned this?

Television royalty Hamish Blake and Peter Overton made a grand entrance with their respective partners – Zoë Foster Blake and Jessica Rowe – on the red carpet, and it seems Blake and Rowe may have been in cahoots...

Pickering's belated Paris 2024 bid

It's all everyone's – including, apparently, television stars – been talking about for the last few days, and Charlie Pickering's pose on the ruby rug is only going to reignite the discussion.

The comedian, whose programs The Weekly With Charlie Pickering and The Yearly With Charlie Pickering have both been nominated in the Best Comedy Entertainment Program category, appeared to pay tribute to viral Australian breaking sensation Raygun's Olympic routine.

Legendary comedian Denise Scott makes rare red carpet appearance

Comedian and actress Denise Scott is all smiles at The Star in Sydney after a tough 18 months of "non-stop" cancer treatment.

The 69-year-old, who is nominated for a Silver Logie for Best Actress in a Comedy for her role in Mother and Son, revealed last August that she had secretly been battling a "particularly agressive" form of breast cancer for six months while filming the show.

"The prognosis has continued to be good, and there's a lot of hope," Scott said at the time.

"I do console myself that at least I've lived a full life that I'm happy with," she continued.

"But I don't want to go yet. There are things I want to do."

Laura Byrne's special glam squad hire

Former reality star turned podcast host Laura Byrne had a very special guest helping her get ready for television's night of nights – her three-year-old daughter Lola.

Byrne shared a video to her Instagram Stories of little Lola helping brush her hair while it was being blow dried.

Harding, who was in the process of final touch ups, shut it down with a single word.

"No," she said to Lee, rolling her eyes with a smile when he asked for a laugh from her, which she did not give.

He wrote over the video: "Despite what it looks like, Bec loved this gag!"

Secret life-long 'rule' after you win a Gold Logie

According to Hard Quiz's Tom Gleeson, if you win a Gold Logie, you and your partner get invited back to the annual event for life.

The comedian is very happy about that.

The presenter took to Instagram to share a snap of herself getting ready for the red carpet with a sweet message. "One last Logies," she wrote as she had her hair and makeup done, tagging her makeup and hair stylist.
